MARY KAM, MSc, RCC #1936
I have been a Registered Clinical Counsellor since 2002 with British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellor. With the belief that every human being has potential to thrive, my compassion, positive attitudes and over 20 years of counselling experiences have brought great commitment to my counselling career.
Therapy is a journey to reflect, identify, learn, regroup, self-care and heal, with the ultimate goal to achieve a better quality of life.
I have the privilege to work with people from all walks of life, immigrants, refugees and international students for the past years. Therefore, adapting a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed and client-centred approach is essential in my work.
I have the opportunity to publish "CBT - Does it work well with Chinese population in Vancouver?" on Visions BC's Mental Health and Addiction Journal and am honoured to be the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee and Canada 150 Community Leadership Awards.
I am also an approved service provider for ICBC.
